This is the Observatory's first offering for the fifth edition of Dungeons & Dragons: five backgrounds suited best for dark, sinister or simply unusual characters.

Doomsday Watcher: a background for those who believe the Apocalypse is at hand.
Fey-snatched: a background for those who have escaped the capricious grasp of the faerie folk.
Rehabilitated: a background for those who have endured "therapy."
Second Life: a background for those who have been given a second chance after apparently tasting death.
Wolfkin: a background for those who feel a close kindred with wolves more than man.
